Havencrest is owned and operated by Scott and Rose (Huxted) Morrison along with the newest addition to Havencrest Farm, would be Kyle Andrew Morrison!
As Rose and Scott both come from farming backgrounds it was an easy guess that the two of them would be willing to work at making Havencrest a success!
Together now for five years, married in 2008, and with the biggest news of the birth of they're first son Kyle. The farm has been in the Morrison's family now for many years, making Scott the seventh generation of Morrison on the farm. With the diversity of Red Angus beef cows, horses, and crops the future looks very positive for this farm!
Scott grew up on the farm and loved every minute of it, his passion had increased so much for farming that he attended MacDonald College and proceeded in to Farm Management, where he succeeded! After schooling, he then achieved his dream of owning the farm! Scott has worked many years on this farm and continues to do so with a huge passion for cash crops, beef cattle, maple syrup and last, but not least, the horses!
Rose, originally from Calgary, Alberta, now calls Dalhousie home! Having grown up with horses and the ever loving passion for them, it was no surprise when she enrolled in Olds College and graduated from the Western Coaching and Equine programs offered there! Continuing her education and always learning more, Rose is more than qualified to offer knowledge in many areas of the equine world! Her strong suit is the western horse world, from pleasure, to showmanship, games, and currently working on reining, she has more than diversified her knowledge to be able to offer you and your horses the most!
Certified with Equine Canada , Western Coach Level 1 and general components in western pleasure, barrels, poles, and speed events. English rider level 8. Also has participated now in two John/Josh Lyons demos and rider clinics. Always looking to stay current and up to date with training methods and coaching. With this a strong background in horsemanship Rose hopes to offer you the best towards making the horse partnership work for you!
